Location of Los Portales

Our Location

Los Portales is located approximately 4 hours by car from San Jose, just 8 kilometers south of Playa Dominical. You will need a 4-wheel-drive vehicle to reach Los Portales, once you are in Dominical. A 4wd car also will give you more freedom and security to explore out-of the-way sites and to travel to many of the more exotic regions of the country. 4wd cars generally rent from $375 to $700 per week, with mileage, taxes and the mandatory insurance included, (third party insurance is extra). Most major car rental companies are represented in San Jose and most allow you the choice of airport or down town pick up.
